Parents trying to access their SEND child’s government Child Trust Fund, this is for you. We are working with Reed Smith LLP lawyers, providing step by step help to parents, FREE.
Child Trust Funds or CTFs are tax-free savings accounts for children born between 1 September 2002 and 2 January 2011. It was introduced under then-prime-minister Gordon Brown. The aim was to give all children a financial nest egg by the time they reached 18.
If your child doesn’t have ‘mental capacity’ and is coming up to, or is already 18, you will need to apply to the Court of Protection to access their Child Trust Fund. Reed Smith solicitors have offered to work with parents for free, to take each family step by step through the process.
