I am a Director and Co-Founder of Talem Law, a virtual boutique law firm with practice areas in Employment Law and Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).
Magic Circle trained, followed by a successful career in a niche employment law practice, international law firm and in-house employment law roles at blue-chip organisations, I co-founded Talem Law in order to work around my own child who has SEND.
Due to my own personal experiences, I am a passionate advocate of improving school and workplace experience for people with disabilities.
In the recent past, I have spoken to the media on topics of autism, education, discrimination law and reasonable adjustments. This included an invitation to attend a round table session in Parliament in 2018 to discuss barriers to entering or remaining in the workplace faced by parents of disabled children.

... transport costs - my car mileage - in taking my 13 year old child to and from these places. She has severe SEMH needs and will not allow anyone else to transport her. Is there law to support me claiming my car mileage; and can this be written into her EHCP? Many thanks.
